23,500 junk pages removed from Google in one month
A runaway automation had flooded Google with duplicate destination pages and dragged rankings down all summer. In 30 days we shut it off, cleaned the site, and average position climbed from 24.9 to 14.3, while clicks held steady.
The challenge
Visit Morocco Together runs tours across Morocco, from Marrakech to the Sahara. Its site had about 1,200 real pages, but Google could see close to 30,000.
An automation was generating duplicate destination pages day after day. Google refused to index them, and the site's average position slid from 17 in early July to 26 by late August. More pages were making the site rank worse, not better.
What we did
Stop the bleeding first, then fix what was left. Nine cleanup items closed in the first month.

dropped out of the non-indexed pile in a single day, once the duplicates were redirected and removed.
Impressions fell as Google stopped showing junk pages, but average position improved sharply and clicks held steady.
